Terms of Service

Plain language. No surprises. Here is what you are agreeing to when you use Planily.

Last updated: 29 April 2026Governed by English lawUK Consumer Rights Act 2015

These Terms of Service govern the use of Planily, a digital family organisation service operated by Planily Ltd. By creating an account, accessing the service, or using any part of Planily, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

1

Who provides Planily

Planily is operated by Planily Ltd, a private limited company registered in England and Wales with registered office at 7 Throwley Way, Sutton, England, SM1 4AF. Planily is a UK-built digital family operating system designed to help households organise calendars, tasks, school information, meals, and routines through a shared service experience.

2

Who can use the service

Planily is intended for adults aged 18 or over who create and manage a household account. Children may be included in a household profile and, where made available, may use limited-access features only under the supervision and responsibility of the adult account holder.

The adult account holder is responsible for ensuring that household members use Planily appropriately and for keeping account credentials secure.

3

The service

Planily provides tools to help families manage schedules, tasks, routines, meals, shopping lists, school communications, and related household planning activities. Features may include AI-assisted document parsing, voice-to-action tools, calendar integrations, and WhatsApp-based interactions, but these features may evolve over time as the product develops.

Planily may add, remove, improve, suspend, or change features from time to time in order to develop the service, improve security, comply with law, or respond to operational needs.

4

Account registration

To use most parts of Planily, the customer must create an account and provide accurate, current, and complete information. The customer must keep login details confidential and must notify Planily promptly if there is any suspected unauthorised access or security incident affecting the account.

Planily may suspend or restrict access where account information is inaccurate, where there is suspected misuse, or where action is reasonably required to protect the service, other users, or third parties.

5

Household data and permissions

The customer may upload or enter information about members of their household and, in some cases, about other people such as carers, teachers, co-parents, or other parents involved in family logistics. The customer is responsible for ensuring that they have the right to provide that information to Planily and that any content submitted is lawful, accurate to the best of their knowledge, and appropriate for the service.

The customer must not upload content that is unlawful, defamatory, infringing, malicious, deceptive, or unrelated to legitimate household organisation purposes.

6

AI-assisted features

Planily includes AI-assisted features that help interpret uploaded documents, natural language messages, and voice inputs in order to suggest events, tasks, reminders, and related organisational outputs. These features are intended to support decision-making, not replace human judgement, and outputs should be reviewed by the customer before being relied upon.

Planily does not guarantee that AI-generated suggestions will always be complete, correct, or suitable for a customer's specific circumstances. Customers remain responsible for checking important dates, payments, appointments, school obligations, travel arrangements, and other high-stakes matters before acting on them.

Planily does not provide legal, financial, medical, safeguarding, educational, or professional advice. Any insights, prompts, meal suggestions, or organisational recommendations generated through the service are informational only.

7

External platforms and integrations

Some features depend on third-party platforms or integrations, such as WhatsApp / Meta, Google Calendar, Microsoft Outlook, analytics providers, email delivery tools, cloud storage, and other service infrastructure. Where the customer chooses to connect a third-party service, the customer also remains subject to that third party's own terms and privacy practices.

Planily is not responsible for the availability, security, policies, or acts of third-party platforms outside Planily's control, including outages, API changes, or actions taken by external providers.

8

Subscription, billing, and renewal

Planily may offer free plans, paid subscriptions, trial periods, pilot access, or invitation-only access. Any fees, billing intervals, trial terms, and plan features will be presented to the customer before sign-up.

If the customer signs up to a paid subscription, they authorise Planily to charge the applicable recurring fees and any applicable taxes using the selected payment method until the subscription is cancelled. Subscription businesses serving UK consumers are subject to stronger rules around pre-contract information, reminders, and cancellation rights under the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024 regime.

Unless stated otherwise at sign-up, subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled. Planily will aim to make cancellation straightforward and will provide required notices and reminders where UK consumer law requires them.

Planily may change subscription prices from time to time. Price changes will not affect the current paid period already purchased, and reasonable advance notice will be given before any new price takes effect.

9

Cancellation and refunds

The customer may cancel a subscription at any time through their account settings or by contacting Planily. Unless otherwise stated at sign-up, cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and access continues until then.

Nothing in these Terms removes any non-excludable rights the customer has under UK consumer law. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, consumers have specific rights in relation to digital content and services, including remedies where digital content is faulty or services are not provided with reasonable care and skill.

Where the law gives a right to a refund, Planily will process that refund in line with applicable legal requirements. If a free trial or promotional offer is provided, any conditions for payment conversion, expiry, or cancellation will be stated clearly before the customer signs up.

10

Availability and support

Planily aims to provide a reliable service, but uninterrupted or error-free availability is not guaranteed. The service may be unavailable from time to time due to maintenance, updates, incidents, third-party failures, capacity issues, or events outside reasonable control.

Planily may provide customer support, help materials, and service communications, but no specific response time or uptime commitment applies unless expressly agreed in writing.

11

Acceptable use

The customer must not:

  • use Planily for unlawful, harmful, fraudulent, or abusive purposes;
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to any account, system, network, or data;
  • interfere with or disrupt the security or operation of the service;
  • copy, scrape, reverse engineer, decompile, or misuse the service except to the extent such restriction is not permitted by law;
  • use Planily to build a competing product or service;
  • upload malware, harmful code, or content designed to compromise users or systems;
  • impersonate another person or misrepresent authority to act on behalf of a household.

Planily may suspend or terminate access where it reasonably believes these Terms have been breached or where necessary to protect users, third parties, or the integrity of the service.

12

Intellectual property

All intellectual property rights in Planily, including the software, service design, branding, interfaces, databases, text, graphics, workflows, and underlying technology, belong to Planily Ltd or its licensors unless otherwise stated.

Subject to these Terms, Planily grants the customer a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to access and use the service for personal household use during the applicable subscription period.

The customer retains rights in content they submit, but grants Planily a limited licence to host, process, store, transmit, and use that content as necessary to operate, secure, improve, and support the service in line with the Privacy Policy.

13

Privacy and data protection

Planily handles personal data in accordance with its Privacy Policy, which explains what data is collected, why it is used, how long it is retained, and what rights individuals have. The service is designed around UK GDPR and includes specific safeguards relating to children, household data, AI-assisted processing, and optional integrations.

14

Beta status and early access

Some parts of Planily may be described as beta, pilot, preview, or early access. These features may be incomplete, experimental, or subject to higher rates of change than core features.

Where a feature is labelled in this way, the customer acknowledges that it may not perform as expected and may be modified or withdrawn without notice. Planily may ask for feedback and use that feedback to improve the service.

15

Service changes and termination by Planily

Planily may suspend, limit, or terminate access to all or part of the service where reasonably necessary for security, maintenance, suspected fraud, legal compliance, non-payment, insolvency risk, service withdrawal, or breach of these Terms.

Where reasonably possible, advance notice will be given if a material suspension or discontinuation affects paying customers, unless immediate action is required for security, legal, or operational reasons.

16

Liability

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under applicable UK law.

Subject to the above, Planily is not liable for any indirect, consequential, special, or incidental losses, loss of profits, loss of data, loss of business opportunity, or loss of goodwill, whether arising in contract, tort, or otherwise.

Where Planily's liability is not excluded, it is limited to the greater of the amount the customer paid to Planily in the 12 months prior to the event giving rise to the claim, or one hundred pounds (GBP 100).

These Terms do not affect any statutory rights of consumers that cannot be excluded or limited by contract.

17

Disputes and governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. In the event of a dispute, Planily encourages customers to contact the support team in the first instance so that the matter can be resolved informally and promptly.

If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, UK consumers may have access to alternative dispute resolution (ADR) schemes. Planily will provide relevant information about available ADR options where required by law.

Nothing in these Terms prevents a customer from exercising rights available to them under applicable consumer protection legislation or from bringing claims before the courts of England and Wales.

18

Changes to these Terms

Planily may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in the service, applicable law, or business operations. When changes are made, the updated Terms will be posted with a revised "Last updated" date.

For material changes that affect paid subscriptions or consumer rights, Planily will provide advance notice via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the service after the effective date of any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
